ATEX certification (Directive 2014/34/EU)

On March 23, 1994, the European Commission adopted the Directive "Equipment and Protection Systems for Potential Explosive Environments" (94/9/EC). This directive covers both mine and non mine equipment, and unlike previous directives, it includes mechanical and electrical equipment, extending the potential explosion hazard environment to dust and flammable gases, flammable vapors, and mist in the air. This instruction is commonly referred to as the "new method" instruction of ATEX 100A, which is the current ATEX explosion-proof instruction. It specifies the technical requirements to be applied to equipment intended for potentially explosive environments - basic health and safety requirements, and the qualification assessment procedures that must be adopted before the equipment is placed on the European market within its scope of use. at presentATEXinstructionsThe code has been updated to2014/34/EU.

ATEX is a testing and certification certification certification required to verify the safety of products sold to the European Union and other international regions. The ATEX certificate is a mandatory certificate within the European Union, and it is also a common contractual norm in foreign countries in Europe. Manufacturers who wish to enter Europe and sell products for explosive environments in Europe must prove that their products comply with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.

The basis for ATEX product certification isEN60079Series standards, detailed standards are as follows:

1. EN 60079-0 Explosive atmospheres - Part 0: General requirements for equipment

2. EN 60079-1 Explosive atmospheres - Part 1: Equipment protected by an explosion-proof enclosure "d"

3. EN 60079-2 Explosive atmospheres - Part 2: Equipment protected by positive pressure enclosure type "p"

4. EN 60079-5 Explosive atmospheres - Part 5: Equipment protected by sand filled "q" molds

5. EN 60079-6 Explosive atmospheres - Part 6: Equipment protected by oil immersed "o"

6. EN 60079-7 Explosive atmospheres - Part 7: Equipment protected by increased safety "e"

7. EN 60079-11 Explosive atmospheres - Part 11: Equipment protected by intrinsic safety type "i"

8. EN 60079-15 Explosive atmospheres - Part 15: Equipment protected by non sparking type "n"

9. EN 60079-18 Explosive atmospheres - Part 18: Equipment protected by pouring type "m"

10. Electrical equipment for combustible dust environments according to the EN 61241 series standard

11. ISO/IEC 80079-34 Explosive atmospheres Part 34: Application of quality assurance systems for equipment manufacturers
